The 2017 INEBRIA meeting, the theme of which is ‘Screening and brief intervention at the intersection of research, policy and practice: Advancing knowledge and meeting new challenges’ will be held in New York, NY September 14-15, 2015. The meeting includes a welcome reception the evening of September 13, followed by two days of research presentations. The overarching goal of this INEBRIA research conference is to present findings from and promote further development of screening and brief intervention (SBI) research, with a particular focus on implementing and scaling up what works, and finding new approaches to addressing unhealthy alcohol and drug use that are feasible, effective, and sustainable.

Target Audience: INEBRIA will convene researchers, practitioners, and policymakers with an interest in alcohol and drug use research, particularly focused on screening and brief interventions (SBI). The conference will provide a forum to hear from leaders in the field about evidence-based SBI approaches as well as new research and practice developments in the field.
