Protocol CTN-0032, "HIV Rapid Testing and Counseling," seeks to evaluate the most effective strategy to ensure that persons in drug treatment programs are tested for HIV and receive their HIV test results. This presentation describes the development and goals of the protocol, the "nuts and bolts" of its implementation, and conclusions about the utility of research experience in the CTN for community treatment providers.
