Experts Support CTN Dissemination Strategies.

NIDA Notes 2004;19(3):13

Jeffrey A. Selzer, MD; Barbara Shine (NIDA Notes contributing writers).

This article describes a meeting of the CTN Dissemination Subcommittee in January 2004. Dr. Timothy Condon (NIDA's Deputy Director), Dr. Everett Rogers (Regents Professor at the University of New Mexico), and Dr. Paul Roman (Distinguised Research Professor at the University of Athens) joined the subcommittee to discuss effective dissemination strategies, focusing on technology transfer and the diffusion of innovations. When the experts were asked to comment on the CTN's dissemination plans, they responded favorably, saying the CTN, with its emphasis on collaboration between researchers and treatment providers, is uniquely positioned to improve drug treatment.
