Collection of Economic Data for the Prescription Opioid Addiction Treatment Study

Lead investigator information unavailable.

This ancillary study is related to CTN-0030, "Prescription Opioid Addiction Treatment Study (POATS)."

The aims of this proposed data collection supplement (which will be done in collaboration with and support from NIDA Division of Epidemiology, Statistics, and Prevention Research) are: (1) to supplement Prescription Opioid Addiction Treatment Study (POATS) data by collecting and validating additional facility data necessary to conduct economic analyses associated with comparisons of buprenorphine/naloxone treatment with standard medical management (SMM) and enhanced medical management (EMM); and (2) to supplement POATS data by collecting additional patient level data necessary to conduct economic analyses associated with comparisons of bup/nx treatment with SMM and EMM. The data collection in the two aims will provide information necessary to conduct cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit, and cost-utility analyses of treatment models being evaluated in the POATS clinical trial.
