The New England Node joined the Clinical Trials Network in September 1999. This Node is headed by Yale University (the Regional Research and Training Center (RRTC)) and comprises five core CTPs and seven additional CTPs. These CTPs were selected on the basis of the size, breadth, and diversity of the populations they serve; volume and administrative efficiency, and commitment to evidence based treatments. The total number of unduplicated annual admission to substance use treatment is over 27,000. A wide array of treatment modalities is offered including: programs for HIV/HCV, treatment of adolescents, substance use and primary care, and psychiatric co-morbidity.
